She calls the manager over, and the manager says, 'I gave you free hash browns'. When we go up to pay, I ask the cashier if we really have to pay full price for the meal. First time I've ever met my server AFTER eating my meal. We finally finish our meal, and Jose comes over to clear the table.

I ask her who our server was supposed to be. I ask her if the Pala Special comes with hash browns AND pancakes, because I don't want both. I go to the receptionist and tell her nobody is waiting on us. Meanwhile, AT LEAST two parties who were seated after us order, get their coffee, and their food.

After ten minutes, or so, I turn around and there is a line around the corner. at least two tables are open, but the receptionists aren't seating anyone.

We get in line, and there is only one party ahead of us. Always had good experiences there, in the past. So, we made a special trip to Pala to have a late breakfast.
